Sunset Beach, Blouberg
One of the most popular spots in Cape Town is also one that works most of the time, but it is far from the best. The waves have the tendency to close out when they get bigger than overhead. But when they don’t it is a great place to kite. You can easily get up to 150 guys out on a busy day, windsurfers included.
This is the first location in Table Bay to get wind on a SE but also the first one to get blown out. When it does, look towards the kitesurfing spots further north.

Sunset beach is a great little spot to kitesurf. The best winds are SE and NW. That being said, it also works nicely on a straight South. You need a nice westerly swell to get waves at this spot. If it is a SE swell go further north.

To check the best wind and wave conditions, go to either Windguru or Windfinder. These are the most popular and most used forecast systems in Cape Town.
Besides the wind and waves, Table View has a lot of other things to offer. Lots of restaurants, fast food, bars, supermarkets, clothes/surf/kitesurfing shops, beautiful sunsets and the stunning view of Table Mountain.
The nightlife gets very lively here and the City of Cape Town is only 30min drive away.
Table View and Dolphin beach are very accessible.
